That was always the goal growing up. I remember hearing my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles talk about it from a young age. Then, as you get older, the message shifts—you’re told you have to work hard for everything you get. You land your first job, and suddenly “adulting” begins. Somewhere along the way, the idea of doing something you love starts to fade into the background, replaced by a much harsher thing called reality. But in my story, things took a turn in the most unexpected way.
I was working as a front office assistant at a small insurance company when the ACA laws were passed in 2014. I was tasked with learning the new system—and I ran with it. I dove into the details, learning the ins and outs, eventually expanding into running prescription comparisons for insurance agents across the state. And then it hit me—I love doing this.
So in 2015, I earned my insurance license and began helping people truly understand their coverage what they have, what they need, and what options are available. I take a different approach to insurance and planning. I ask the hard questions and help guide my clients toward solutions that work not just for today, but for the years ahead.
